MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has been able to make significant progress into Latin pop. His 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu was winner of the Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in 2017. In Medellin in 2017, Sony's La Industria Inc. released ADN the debut album of his long-playing career. It reached the number 8 spot in the Top Latin Albums chart. Vaina Loca was one of the Top Five hit for Ozuna as well as him the year following. He worked with Noriel on Mala Influencia in the year 2020. He the following year released his sophomore album the chart-topping Dopamina. Later in 2021 he performed a duet on TINI's smash streaming track Maldita Foto. The year 2023 came around and the smash hit La Bachata was released. Turizo was brought up in a musical environment, as both his mother & his older brother are musicians. Turizo has told interviews that music was a necessity. When he was young, he taught how to perform on the guitar, piano and ukulele. He initially wanted to be Veterinarian, however after his brother Julian convinced to him take singing lessons from the help of a Cuban musician, he rearranged his career plans.
